Attendance Policy
All PSW Program students will complete all of the theory hours and the placement hours of the NACC PSW Program. The students must be able to demonstrate their knowledge of all module objectives, and any time missed must be made up.
1. All students are required to attend and successfully complete 100% of the placement hours.
2. If a student misses any hours in the placement portion of the program for any reason, the student is required to make up all of these missed hours.
3. If the student does not make up the missed placement hours, they are to be considered unsuccessful in completing the placement and cannot graduate until 100% has been successfully completed.
4. Students who miss theory hours are required to meet with the PSW instructor to demonstrate knowledge of module learning objectives that they missed during their absence. This may be in the form of a test or assignment designed by the school and approved by NACC.
4. The instructor is required to document and sign off that the student has the required knowledge of the module learning objectives that the student missed during their absence in the theory portion of the program.
5. If a college’s attendance policy indicates that the student will be removed if they miss a certain percentage of a program, this percentage would applu to the theory portion of the NACC PSW program only. All NACC PSW Program students are required to successfully complete 100% of the placement hours.
If a student has been removed from the program due to their lack of attendance, students may be readmitted to the program during the next intake and at the college’s discretion.
